Duke Nukem Forever delayed… again

24 Mar 2011

The infamously long-delayed Duke Nukem Forever has been delayed yet again, but only for a month this time.

The irreverant first person shooter was in developmental hell for 14 years before its studio 3D Realms shut down in 2009, forcing fans to abandon all hope for the game to be released at all.

Luckily, Gearbox Software took over development and promised it would see the light of day in 2011, announcing a May release.

However, according to Kotaku, this has been delayed until June, though this is the shortest delay in the game’s franchise.

“I’m very sorry for the added delay. We’ve all been working extremely hard and are very eager to deliver the game to you,” said Gearbox Software head Randy Pitchford in an official statement.

Duke Nukem Forever will be available on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
