Apple to unveil Mac OS X Lion, iOS 5 and iCloud next week

31 May 2011

Apple CEO Steve Jobs will unveil MacOS X Lion, iOS 5 and a “cloud services offering” called iCloud on 6 June.

Jobs, who has taken a leave of absence from Apple, will make an appearance at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco, California, next Monday with a keynote address.

The address will unveil Lion, the eighth version of Mac OSX, bringing iPad functionality to Mac computers.

It will also reveal the next version of its mobile operating system iOS 5 for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch devices.

Along with this, Apple will unveil iCloud, which is expected to take the form of a subscription-based cloud music-streaming service, similar to Spotify, to compliment iTunes.
