HTC reveals two new Mango devices – the Titan and the Radar

HTC unveiled two new Windows Phone Mango devices – HTC Titan, with a 4.7 inch screen, and the HTC Radar.

LONDON – At the announcement of the devices, HTC revealed that it has sold over 21.8m mobile devices to date.

The company also said that, at the initial launch of Windows Phone 7, it released the most devices for the platform and is the number one seller of Windows Phone smartphones today.

They will follow up on this with two new smartphones – the Titan and the Radar – which will run on Mango, the next Windows Phone update.

Both phones feature Virtual 5.1 surround sound, HTML5 support and 720p HD video capturing capabilities.

The HTC Titan boasts a huge 4.7 inch 480×800 resolution screen, though HTC emphasises that it is still a “true smartphone.”

It has a 9.9mm thick body made from aluminium and weighs 160g.

It runs on a 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor and includes DLNA for streaming media to other devices.

The Titan is equipped with an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera and a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera for video calling.

It also has a gyro sensor, g-sensor, a digital compass, a proximity sensor and an ambient light sensor.

The HTC Titan will be available from October 2011 in Europe and Asia.

HTC Radar

HTC Radar

The HTC Radar has a 3.8 inch 480×800 resolution screen and is equipped with a 1GHz Snapdragon processor.

It weighs 137g, is 10.9mm thick and includes DLNA connectivity.

The Radar has a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera along with a VGA front-facing camera.

It includes a gyro sensor, a proximity sensor and an ambient light sensor.

The HTC Radar is available from October 2011 in Europe and Asia.
