Dublin-based online media site MUZU.TV will arrive on Xbox LIVE at Christmas, along with numerous other media partners.

Nearly 40 worldwide TV and entertainment providers will arrive on Xbox LIVE by the end of the year. This includes Bravo, Comcast, HBO GO, Verizon FiOS and Syfy for the US and BBC, Channel 4 and Channel 5 for the UK.

Online web video services will also arrive on Xbox LIVE, such as Dailymotion, MSN and YouTube, in numerous regions.

“Combining the world’s leading TV and entertainment providers with the power of Kinect for Xbox 360 and the intelligence of Bing voice search will make TV and entertainment more personal, social and effortless,” said Don Mattrick, president of the Interactive Entertainment Business at Microsoft.

MUZU.TV has been licensed for France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK on Xbox LIVE.

“Being selected to be a new music video partner for Xbox LIVE is a huge endorsement of the MUZU.TV consumer proposition and is a great seal of approval for Irish technology abroad,” said Ciaran Bollard, CEO and co-founder of MUZU.TV

“Following our recent expansion of the MUZU.TV service across internet-enabled TVs, the MUZU.TV app on Xbox is allowing us to take a leading role in delivering a fantastic experience wherever consumers choose to access and enjoy music.

“Joining forces with Xbox LIVE means that we can bring the best music-video catalogue together with their leading technology to create what can only be described as a revolutionary music-video experience,” he said.

Content details can be shared with the Xbox LIVE community and Facebook.

These extra 40 providers join Xbox LIVE’s existing lineup, such as Netflix and Hulu in the US and BSkyB in the UK.
