Next Nexus phone spec leaked?

6 Oct 2011

Reports suggest Google and Samsung’s next Nexus phone – which could be called the Galaxy Nexus – will be 9mm thick and will have a 1,280 x 720 Super AMOLED HD display.

The phone was code named the Nexus Prime, according to BGR, but its actual name may be the Galaxy Nexus.

Running on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), it may have a 4.65-inch 1,280 x 720 Super AMOLED HD display with curved glass.

It will reportedly run on a 1.2GHz TI OMAP 4460 dual core Cortex A9 processor and may have 1GB of RAM.

The Galaxy Nexus could have 32GB of internal storage and near field communication.

It may have a 5-megapixel camera at the back and a 1.3-megapixel camera at the front, with 1080p HD video-capturing capabilities.

The next Nexus phone could also have LTE or HSPA, depending on the mobile carrier, and a 1750 mAh battery.

As with previous Nexus models, the Galaxy Nexus could have a pure Google experience, meaning there will be no TouchWiz UI.

These rumours align with previous spec leaks, however nothing can be certain until Google and Samsung unveil the phone on 11 October.
