Top Digital Life videos of 2011

Mobile dominated 2011 with a multitude of new smartphones released throughout the year. The iPhone 4S appeared much later than expected, and while its identical design to the iPhone 4 disappointed some, the device still became the fastest-selling iPhone yet.
There were plenty of new Android devices from manufacturers such as Samsung, HTC and Sony Ericsson, ranging from budget devices to multimedia powerhouses. The release of Ice Cream Sandwich at the end of the year has brought a much more mature OS which could lead to plenty of great smartphones in the new year.
Microsoft has been working away to make Windows Phone much more competitive and many of Mango’s features aim to close the gap against iOS and Android. All eyes will be on Nokia next year to see if it can rise from the brink of death with Windows Phone as its primary OS.

Tablets were also a major focus in 2011, though none seemed to topple the iPad of its crown. We also caught Intel’s PC guru Mooly Eden talking about where the PC experience was heading at CES 2011 in January.
