US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton found a satirical website about her so funny she invited the creators of Texts From Hillary to come and meet her.

Adam Smith and Stacy Lambe are communications advisers based in Washington who created Texts From Hillary on Tumblr. They went to the state department yesterday after Clinton’s staff contacted them to say she found the site hilarious, BBC News Online reported.

“We thought it’d be a funny joke for the two of us. When we heard from Secretary Clinton’s staff yesterday, we were both shocked,” said Smith.

When Clinton met Smith and Lambe, she signed a copy of her own Texts From Hillary submission with, “Thanks for the many LOLZ Hillary ‘Hillz'”. Her submission pokes fun at Smith, Lambe and Clinton herself, whose staff hate the fact she wears Eighties-style hair scrunchies.

Texts From Hillary features photos of politicians or celebrities on mobile devices, with a caption of what their text message to Clinton would be. Beneath that is a photo of a serious-looking Clinton on a military plane checking her BlackBerry, with a caption of what her response to the text message would be.

Lambe and Smith create most of the posts themselves. One of their most recent plays off of Facebook’s recent acquisition of Instagram. In a photo, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is walking while looking at a mobile phone. The caption on it reads, “Guess what I just bought!”

Clinton’s “response”? “A shirt with a big boy collar?”
