The TomTom Via 130 with integrated mount
Coming to stores soon: the TomTom Via 130 and Via 135 with Speak & Go, an improved voice command function that recognises more words, allowing drivers to speak naturally.
TomTom’s latest in-car navigation devices come with a vastly improved version of the brand’s existing voice command and control function that makes interaction easier for drivers. Speak & Go recognises more than 1,000 spoken commands and their synonyms, which means drivers can speak to the device as they would another person, and input addresses with ease.
The TomTom Via 130 and Via 135 can also be used to make hands-free calls through a Bluetooth connection, helping drivers to keep their hands on the wheel and their focus on the road.
These devices will also be pioneering a new perk from TomTom’s Map Share service. Map Share updates maps with information such as revised speed limits and blocked roads based on reports from a community of 21m drivers. Previously, this service was only available to certain customers using maps less than 12 months old, but owners of the Via 130 or Via 135 can avail of free daily map changes for the lifetime of the device.
Other features of the new units include advanced lane guidance to give drivers extra clarity when navigating difficult junctions; improved IQ Routes, which uses real travel information shared by millions of drivers to get the best routes and arrival times at every time of day; and an integrated mount that folds away with the device so you never lose it.
The TomTom Via 130 and Via 135 have all of the same features and functionalities but different screen sizes (4.3 inches and 5 inches respectively), and will be available in stores soon.
