Grabbing onto the cape-tails of the upcoming The Dark Knight Rises film, Nokia have revealed a special edition of the Nokia Lumia 900 befitting of Batman himself.

In a tweet earlier today, Nokia posted an image of a black Lumia 900 model with the Batman logo etched into the back. Though, chances are, the functionality of the phone will be no different from the usual Lumia 900 Windows Phone offering, die-hard fans can hope against hope for an in-built grappling hook or a Batmobile remote.

Nokia is no stranger to the comic-book vigilante’s potential for marketing success and previously released the same design in the Lumia 800, though this device was for promotional use only, not for sale to the general public. Though it has been confirmed by Nokia to Pocket-lint that the phones will be on sale in select European countries in the coming weeks, it has also been warned that there will be limited availability.

The previous Dark Knight-themed Lumia 800 came with specially designed packaging and an it can be safely assumed that the Lumia 900 Batphone will follow suit, making it a collector’s item to take pride of place on any Bat-fan’s utility belt.
