Samsung and Google have prepared a software patch that gets around infringing the Apple patent that resulted in US judge Lucy Koh granting an injunction preventing the sale of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and the Galaxy Tab 10.1.

It is understood Google plans to support Samsung in its appeal of the injunction.

Apple is also preparing to seek an injunction preventing the sale of Samsung’s latest smartphone, the Galaxy S III.

Google has temporarily removed the Samsung Galaxy Nexus from its US store.

Samsung and Google will not only appeal Koh’s injunction but they will also challenge the validity of the patent.

The Galaxy Nexus is slated to be one of the first smartphones to get the next Android operating system ‘Jelly Bean’ which will begin to be released this month.
