Photo of BlackBerry 10 L-Series UI leaked

4 Sep 2012

An apparently leaked image showing the user interface of the BlackBerry 10 L-Series, RIM’s upcoming touchscreen smartphone, has surfaced on the internet.

Posted on BlackBerry-obsessed sites N4BB and CrackBerry, the image shows some of the apps that will be on offer with the new release, such as BlackBerry Messenger, DocsToGo, Maps, Facebook, Music and Video players and something called StoryMaker, which appears to be a video-editing tool. Earlier, a Dev Alpha version of the BlackBerry 10 revealed possible Instagram-style image editing, also.

The BlackBerry 10 L-Series is expected to run on BlackBerry OS 7 and have a 1,800mAh removable battery, 768 x 1,280 resolution display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and an 8MP camera, and N4BB says it will come in gun-metal grey.

It has already been confirmed that RIM intends to launch the BlackBerry 10 L-Series first, followed by the N-Series, which will come with a QWERTY keypad. Both devices are said to be nearing completion with an expected release of early 2013.
