Internet giant Yahoo! CEO Marissa Mayer has a new role - that of mum. The former Google executive gave birth to a baby boy last night, her husband Zach Brogue announced in a tweet.
“Baby boy Brogue born last night. Mom (@marissamayer) and baby are doing great - we couldn't be more excited!” the tweet read.
No further information about the baby has been released.
When Mayer took on the Yahoo! CEO job in July, she told Fortune she planned to go back to work soon after giving birth.
"I like to stay in the rhythm of things," she said. "My maternity leave will be a few weeks long and I'll work throughout it."
