Last year's Galaxy S III
Samsung is expected to launch its much anticipated Galaxy S IV smartphone on 14 March. The new feature-rich device will come with Android Jelly Bean 4.2, will be powered by an 8-core CPU and an 8-core GPU and is expected to feature a 13-megapixel rear camera.
According to The Verge, the device is expected to come with a new design, new features and enhancements on features, like the eye-tracking Smart Stay which debuted with the Galaxy S III last year.
The timing of the new device could be potentially upsetting for rival HTC, which is expected to unveil its new smartphone, up until now dubbed the M7, later today.
The new Galaxy S IV is expected to be launched at an event in New York in mid-March.
Instead the Korean tech giant is likely to unveil the Note 8.0 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week.
According to CNET, rumoured specs for the Galaxy S IV include an 8-core CPU, an 8-core GPU, a 4.9-inch Super AMOLED display, 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front camera and it will be powered by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
