Anyone in the market for a new pair of headphones with a spare stg£20,000 (about €23,160) lying around might want to consider the gold and black diamond Diamond Tears – Sally Sohn Edition headphones, now on sale exclusively at Harrods department store in London.

Monster, the company behind the Beats by Dre range of audio accessories, collaborated with jewelry designer Sally Sohn to create the headphones.

The blinged-out audio accessory features a 5.56-carat black diamond spider clutching the left headphone, 18k gold encasing the entire surround of the headphones, and what Monster calls “next-generation Pure Monster sound”.

The company said 100 hours of work go into each pair of Diamond Tears – Sally Sohn Edition headphones, though the audio technology is the same as that in a standard pair of Diamond Tears headphones, which cost about stg£249 (€288), Luxury Launches reported.

“The creation of the Diamond Tears – Sally Sohn Edition was truly a labour of love for us, and being able to work with such a talented, ahead-of-the-curve designer as Sally to create such a special, museum-quality work of art was really the icing on the cake,” Monster audio engineer Noel Lee said.
