Last week, it emerged that Facebook is planning to hold a briefing for media on Thursday at its Menlo Park, California, HQ for a ‘New Home on Android’ reveal that has been widely reported as the long-awaited Facebook phone or set of features specific to the social network for Android devices.

In the last 24 hours various leaks have surfaced on Twitter and according to Android Police, the new device will debut in the US with carrier AT&T.

The device that is likely to be revealed this Thursday will come with a dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and will have a 4.3-inch display with 720p resolution.

The ‘Myst’ will have a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.6-megapixel front camera. It won’t come with an  SD card slot. In terms of connectivity, the device is likely to be LTE compatible, as well as coming with the usual Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi A/B/G/N compatibility.

According to Android Police, the device will come with a special Facebook app that isn’t anywhere else that brings all your Facebook interactions right onto the home screen. This is likely to provide users with an experience similar to the BlinkFeed feature that currently features on the HTC One smartphone, which went on sale in the UK last week, will go on sale in Ireland today and will debut in the US and rest of world before the end of April.

The Sense 4.5 home screen is completely integrated with Facebook and the app starts as soon as the phone is activated.

It is likely the app discovered among the leaked specs will be published on the Google Play store for Android users after Thursday’s big reveal.
