Yet another variation of the Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone has been announced, this time a version using LTE-Advanced 4G technology for faster mobile broadband.

JK Shin, Samsung’s head of mobile and co-chief executive, announced today that this new iteration of the Galaxy S4 will be capable of transmitting data at twice the speed of its straight-up LTE 4G counterpart.

The phone could be made available in South Korea this month and Shin revealed to Reuters that Samsung is currently speaking with overseas carriers about the phone.

LTE-Advanced is another step up from standard LTE 4G, offering twice the speed. Consumers opting for the faster device will have to shell out more, though, as Shin confirmed it will carry a higher price tag.
