AIB launches new tablet app for personal finance management

28 Oct 2013

AIB has pulled out all the stops with a new personal financial management tool called My Money Manager on its new tablet banking app.

The new tool allows customers to track income and expenditure on their current, deposit and credit card accounts as well as creating budget and savings goals.

The app works on both Android and Apple iOS tablets.

The ‘My Money Manager’ tool allows users to chart their spending and income in various categories. This can be displayed in pie charts with users seeing, for example how much they have spent on shopping, utility bills and savings over the month. The app will display the percentage of spending in each category. Users can also create budgets for the various categories and set up savings goals. In addition users can search for specific transactions within their account.

Digital banking for the times we live in

“In developing these digital banking services we invited consumers into ‘The Lab’, AIB’s award winning digital store at Dundrum, to let them test them and suggest improvements,” head of Direct Channels at AIB, Tomas O Midheach explained.

“This enabled us to deliver a tablet banking app which represents another significant enhancement to our digital banking services providing customers with convenience, security and choice to bank their way.

“The new tablet banking app represents our newest mobile banking service from AIB of which there are more planned. It’s a further enhancement to the ways customers can choose to bank securely with AIB.

“Our investment in online and mobile services is another sign of AIB’s commitment to providing choice, enhancing our customers banking experience and remaining a technology leader in Irish banking,” O Midheach added.
