Sony’s next-generation games console the PlayStation 4 (PS4) goes on sale in Ireland and 29 other countries in Europe and Latin America today, and memes have something to say about it.
It’s been six years since the release of the PlayStation 3 – and just a week since the release of the rival Xbox One console in several countries – and the PS4 now promises speed, powerful graphics, and integrated social capabilities.
The new console features an 8-core AMD x86-64 CPU, AMD Radeon GPU, 8GB RAM, 500GB user-upgradeable hard drive, six-speed Blu-ray drive, and the capability of playing 1080p games at 60fps.
The PS4 also comes with a DualShock 4 Wireless Controller, and pricing for the entire package is from €399 (with various bundles available).
