Cat-proofing your computer (infographic)

Don't even think about it, puss

Cats interfering with computer equipment can not only damage the devices but can also harm kitty, points out an infographic that offers tips on cat-proofing your tech.

The infographic published by SurDoc on Visual.ly reports that 97.2pc of cat owners have said their feline friend has deleted something by walking across their computer keyboard. So not only does the infographic offer recommendations on how to protect your files, it proposes ways to protect your cat and overall computer, too.

Tips include setting up programs to auto save frequently, bundling up loose cords, regularly cleaning vent openings in your computer, and creating a ‘safe zone’ by providing the cat with a basket or cat tree near you but not next to the computer.
