Those looking to get the new iPad may have to wait awhile, after it was found production demands for the iPhone 6 Plus smartphone have delayed the release of the new tablet computer.
According to sources close to The Wall Street Journal who are familiar with the production schedules of Apple products, the demand for the larger 5.5-inch phone has been much more than anticipated, but has also been coupled with a phone output that has been deemed ‘unstatisfactory’.
It had been revealed last week that Apple was to introduce a new 9.7-inch iPad, as well as a gold casing for the next generation of the series.
The company, that has just been deemed the world’s most lucrative brand name, is due to host an international event next week to make a big announcement, largely expected to be a showcasing of the new iPad.
All these developments mean those looking to get their hands on the latest Apple product may be required to wait up to as much as four or five months as the original estimate of production starting in December for an early 2015 release are now not possible.
Apple has yet to officially comment on the sources’ claims.
