Destiny has average of 3.2m players every day

A month after the release of Destiny, one of the most anticipated games on the next-gen consoles, Bungie Studios revealed that on average each day, 3.2m players play the game.

Despite the game receiving reviews ranging from fantastic to mediocre, the game has still managed to catch the attention of the gaming public which should come as a relief to the studio having spent around US$500m on the game, mostly in marketing costs.

On Bungie’s blog, the company who created the iconic gaming franchise Halo were able to release their latest statistics for the game so far and aside from the millions playing it on a daily basis, they were also able to determine the average player is playing about three hours a day, 1.8 times a day.

In total they have calculated that a Destiny player has played on average a total of 20.0 times in the space of a month and they have had more players online in Destiny than we did during the same span for Halo 3 and Halo: Reach, combined.

The company has been turning to its players for feedback on particular elements of the game in recent weeks as they build up to future downloadable content.
