Users of Vodafone’s RED Extra plan are about to get a nice entertainment boost to accompany long winter nights after the mobile operator forged a deal with Netflix.

The deal will mean customers of the plan can opt to watch TV box sets and movies on their smartphones, tablets, TVs or other devices.

The six months Netflix promotional offer is available on Vodafone’s RED Extra from €40 per month.

The offer is in addition to existing Spotify music and Sky Sports entertainment packages.

4G rollout

“Just in time for winter , our customers can now have their favourite TV programmes and films at their fingertips to enjoy wherever and whenever  on their TVs, tablets or  smartphones,” explained Marcel de Groot, consumer director at Vodafone Ireland.

“While out and about, this is enabled by an amazing video streaming experience, thanks to our superfast 4G, which is the largest in Ireland and now available to over 75 percent of the population.”

Vodafone says its 4G network is continuing apace with six cities and over 350 towns across the country served by LTE broadband.
