A first trailer for Season 3 of Netflix’s flagship political drama House of Cards has been released online.
The trailer runs for a sprightly 45 seconds and features rock group A Perfect Circle’s lushly titled track Counting Bodies Like Sheep to the Rhythm of the War Drums. Scroll down to watch.
The series is due to be released on 27 February and, like the previous two seasons, all 13 episodes will be released simultaneously.
Season 3 of the show – which depicts the career of Kevin Spacey’s Machiavellian politician Frank Underwood – has a lot to live up to. In its first season, House of Cards received nine nominations for the 2013 Emmy Awards, becoming the first original online-only web television series to receive major nominations. Last year, the series received a further 13 nominations.
