As one of the most anticipated phones of the year, new leaked photos from Germany appear to show the HTC One M9 prior to its launch at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC).

The Taiwanese company’s flagship phones series is often described as the best Android phone on the market and with thousands of people descending on Barcelona for the biggest event for mobile phone sin the world about to get underway next week, speculation has been rather high.

Unsurprisingly in the internet age however, speculation is now often replaced with leaks – multiple leaks – and in this case it appears the cat is truly out of the bag for the One M9.

Two weeks ago, the phone’s specifications were leaked appearing to show a rather powerful machine with its 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, and internal storage starting at 32GB.

Its cameras have also gotten a major upgrade with its Ultrapixel 4MP camera moved to the front for selfies, while it also has a rear 20.7MP camera with dual LED flash.

But now, the guys over at the German website MobileGeeks are showing images from the phone’s upcoming online listings in Germany which appear to show a phone that looks very similar to its predecessor.

What the photos do show however is some of the colour schemes that will be available including a gold trim on a silver base and a more-familiar gunmetal grey as well as its pricing in Germany starting at €749 for the sim-only model.

The phone itself is expected to be announced this Sunday, 1 March, just before the MWC gets underway on 2 March.
