Services player Aramark invests €1.6m in ERP system

Integrated services player Aramark’s Irish division has invested €1.6m in a new Oracle ERP system to boost business efficiency.

Aramark services the food, environment, facilities and property management sectors and employs around 4,000 people in Ireland across 980 locations.

The investment includes the implementation of Oracle Financials E-business Suite Release 12, which will replace all legacy systems.

“With Aramark Ireland’s acquisition of facilities management, property and energy divisions, we inherited a number of legacy SME finance systems,” Aramark CIO Peter Phillip said.

“With each system, financial processes and information management practices differed. This resulted in independent structures, administration and reporting activities.”

He said the new ERP system will bring the entire organisation in line with a master financial system.

“This will enable Aramark to operate more efficiently and effectively against process standards while greatly enhancing the quality and granularity of information available to the organisation.

“This new rollout will greatly benefit the organisation and in turn enrich our service to our clients and customers,” Fischer added.
