Irish e-learning player Onwards Learning has struck a deal with Chinese Ministry of Education-backed EOL, which has more than 45m daily unique page views, to provide a portal on the site.

Onwards Learning has signed an online distribution and marketing agreement for its cloud-based English language learning social marketplace with eol.cn, China’s largest integrated education portal.

EOL serves the online educational information and advisory needs of students, parents, teachers and the country’s education service providers, achieving average daily unique page views of over 45 million.

EOL, which is part of the Chinese Ministry of Education organisational structure, is responsible for online informational management services in all aspects of education.

These include national Chinese student examination programmes, international study abroad advisory, graduate and teacher employment information, and China public education policy.

LearnOnEnglish.com will be hosted and promoted through eol.cn as a branded mini-portal across its extensive web properties which are accessed extensively by the public in China, occasionally achieving daily page views as high as 150m.
