Salmon Software, a Dublin-based software company, has signed a deal with child poverty action group Plan International to provide its treasury management systems (TMS).
The software known as Salmon Treasurer will help Plan International manage debt, foreign exchange, money market, treasury, banking transactions and many other related corporate treasury activities.
Plan International selected Salmon Treasurer following an international tender for the automation of its global treasury management facilities.
“Plan International raised almost €700m across multiple currencies last year and does fantastic work on behalf of child poverty,” said John Byrne, CEO, Salmon Software. “It was a privilege to be able to help them streamline their reporting, foreign exchange, money market and cash management.”
The Dublin company competed with 18 other international companies that had shown an expression of interest and following detailed questionnaires and demonstrations from five shortlisted companies, Plan International selected Salmon Software.
The goal of Plan International, which worked with 78m children last year in 50 developing countries across Africa, Asia and the Americas, is to promote child rights and lift millions of children out of poverty.
