The majority of the world’s population now lives in cities, and this number is growing fast. In fact, it is estimated that 1m people move into the world’s cities each week. With this enormous influx of population, new ideas are needed to manage complexity, increase efficiency, reduce expense and improve quality of life. As our planet gets more urban, our cities need to get smarter! Following the success of last year’s inaugural event, this summit will examine the keys to success of our smart cities.
