Gas leak postpones NASA shuttle launch

A potentially dangerous fuel leak has put NASA’s plans to send shuttle Discovery on her final flight.

Due for liftoff for its final voyage on Friday 5 November, Discovery experienced a hydrogen leak that was a posable threat and may result in the launch being pushed back until the end of the month.

The US space agency said another attempt at launch would not be made before Monday.

The shuttle was set to launch on Thursday but was postponed due to bad weather.

Discovery was to shuttle NASA’s robotic astronaut –Robonaut 2 – to the International Space Station along with other supplies.
