A man in France on a pushbike powered by rockets has beaten a Ferrari in a race, passing the iconic sports car at a terrifying 333 km/h (207 m/h) and travelling a quarter of a mile in less than seven seconds.
On Friday last week (7 November) at the famous Circuit Paul Ricard located at Le Castellet in the South of France, cyclist François Gissy, aka Swiss Rocket Man, reached the insane speed of 333 km/h on a rocket-propelled bicycle over a quarter of a mile.
The bicycle was designed by his friend Arnold Neracher.
Effectively a man on a pushbike with a rocket under his saddle travelled a quarter of a mile in under seven seconds.
The achievement bet a similar feat in May when Neracher’s G-bycicle, nicknamed Kamikaze IV, travelled a quarter mile in 7.3 seconds
All we can say is don’t try this at home folks.
I just wonder can I get a similar thurst if I stuck a couple of Diet Coke bottles filled with Mentos under my saddle? Probably not.
