The multi-million selling Call of Duty: Black Ops has new patches available for download on the PlayStation 3 (PS3) and Xbox 360.

Gamers can now long on to the PlayStation Network (PSN) and Xbox LIVE to download the patches that are said to be fixes for a few bugs that tormented frustrated console gamers.

According to softpedia, the PC version of the game suffered the most from glitches and lags, with gamers having to deal with spikes and freezes during gameplay but a patch was released last week for the PS version to address this.

Notable fixes

Treyarch, the studio behind Call of Duty: Black Ops, says some of the more notable fixes for the Xbox and PS3 are improvements in matchmaking to improve efficiency, improved host selection, improved part system to ensure parties do not get broken apart, server-side and game-side changes, audio and online additional enhancements.

Call of Duty: Black Ops broke its own records for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II’s opening day sales, earning $360m in North America and the UK alone.
