Wikileaks' next leak will be 'seven times bigger' than before

The site has attracted huge controversy over its leaks of confidential US military information.

Wikileaks has said that its next leak of confidential government documents will be seven times greater than the size of the last.

The whistleblower site, which has faced huge controversy over releasing secret documents containing classified information from the US military, said in a tweet that its next leak will its biggest yet.

“Next release is 7x the size of the Iraq War Logs. intense pressure over it for months,” it said in a tweet.

Another tweet followed an hour later which said: “The coming months will see a new world, where global history is redefined.”

Wikileaks release almost 400,000 secret files from the Iraq war last month, but if this tweet is anything to go by, its next leak will be much, much bigger.

Before this, Wikileaks uploaded thousands of classified files on the war in Afghanistan, which gained a lot of attention in the summer months.

The site’s founder, Julian Assange, became famous overnight and even made it into the Forbes most powerful list, entering at No 68.
