Details have begun to emerge online about a new range of BlackBerry smartphone devices, including sequels to the Torch and Storm and featuring HD screens and powerful processors.

The next incarnation of the Bold family will be the BlackBerry Dakota, which will come with both a touchscreen and a QWERTY keyboard, a 5-megapixel camera with HD recording, flash and image stabilisation, a 3G mobile Wi-Fi hotspot, near field communication and a proximity sensor. BlackBerry OS 6.1 will power the device that will have 4GB of built-in storage.

Another device on the way is the BlackBerry Apollo, successor to the Curve, which will have a 5-megapixel camera, curved styling and an 800MHz processor.

The successor to the second-generation Storm will be a device enigmatically titled Monaco, which will come with a 1.2GHz processor and an 800 x 480 high-resolution display.

The fourth device set to debut will be the sequel to the BlackBerry Torch, which will come with a 1.2GHz processor.
