Angry Birds to roost on Windows Phone 7

Popular video game Angry Birds and five other games are to land on Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 platform in early April, along with five other games.

Microsoft announced the title’s inclusion as part of its Spring Showcase event in San Francisco yesterday.

Angry Birds is due to arrive on Windows Phone 7 on 6 April, along with Doodle Jump, Plants vs. Zombies, Hydro Thunder Go, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode 1 and geoDefense.

Angry Birds, Hydro Thunder Go and geoDefense are all being published under the Microsoft Game Studios brand.

All six games will include integration with Xbox Live for things like leaderboards, achievements and online presence, Microsoft said.

Pricing has yet to be announced.
