The Wicklow divorcee whom Siliconrepublic.com revealed in recent weeks was trying to sell her house through a viral campaign on YouTube has told us she has just received a €500,000 cash offer for her home.

Last month, Siliconrepublic.com reported how Jillian Godsil put a story-boarded video on YouTube, showing the transformation of the Shillelagh-based mansion Raheengraney House from a rundown state to its present, pristine condition.

The house had fallen in value from €1.4m three years ago to €500,000 today.

Godsil’s daring endeavour to sell the house garnered her plenty of publicity and the video has been viewed more than 7,236 times.

She revealed that within one week of posting the video she received a cash offer of €500,000 for the stately home, has received a deposit and she is now working with the bank to complete the sale.

“Funnily enough I got lots of responses … emails of encouragement, invitations out on dates, people buying my book and people wanting me to sell their property online … could be a whole new direction for me,” says Godsil.
