Paddy Power turns iPhone into real money casino

6 May 2011

Real money casino gaming has arrived on the iPhone. Digital bookies Paddy Power has launched five new iPhone games that can be downloaded from its website, including Gold Rush, Blackjack, Filthy Rich and Poseidon’s Kingdom.

The company says it has aggressive plans to launch new games for the iPhone and Android platforms.

As an introductory offer, all new players will receive €5 free when they first start playing.

All games are powered by Probability Ltd and will suit gamers that don’t have time to sit in front of a PC.

Mike Phelan, business development manager with Paddy Power Games, is confident this new games product is what the market needs.

“We are delighted to now have a selection of mobile games available for our customers. We’ve launched with four games but have an aggressive road map of new games to be released soon.

“We also have plans to launch these games as both a native app in the Apple App Store and on Android,” Phelan said.

QR code strategy

Paddy Power is actively promoting QR codes as a simple method for customers to access the portal for the first time. Just search for “QR Scanner” in the iTunes app store to download one onto your phone.

Then scan the code on the phone that Paddy is holding in the photo and you’ll automatically be brought to the new Paddy Power Mobile Games Lobby.

The new games include;

·        Gold Rush: A 25-line, five-reel slot with free spins Cactus bonus feature.

·        Blackjack: Multi-hand Blackjack where you can bet on up to three hands at the same time.

·        Filthy Rich: Five reel slots with free-spins bonus feature, wild symbol and 50 win lines.

·        Poseidon’s Kingdom: Poseidon was the god of the Sea. This sea-themed five-reel slot offers free-spins bonus and wild symbol.
