Simply Zesty unveils world’s first online Facebook training suite

9 May 2011

Dublin-based social media agency Simply Zesty has launched what is believed to be the world’s first Facebook training suite. It is aimed at teaching companies worldwide everything they need to know about Facebook for business.

There’s no doubt that with more than 650m users, Facebook is a vital part of a marketing strategy for any business.

The training suite has more than 100 professional training sessions available in high definition (HD) video and trainers are on hand 24 hours a day, seven days per week to answer queries.

The training is conducted by Lauren Fisher and Niall Harbison, founders of Simply Zesty, whose clients include Chevrolet, Nokia, Sony, Teradata and Vodafone.

The company last year secured a €500,000 investment from The Oxford Research Agency (TORA) for a minority stake in the firm.

Facebook for business

“Social media marketing deserves just as much time and consideration as more established channels like traditional PR and advertising,” Fisher explained.

“Your Facebook strategy will only really work if you invest time in training, to understand how it can work for business. The smart companies make sure they know the benefits of Facebook for business.”

The service is charged as a yearly subscription and has new content uploaded weekly.

“As Facebook has grown so fast we’ve been inundated with businesses seeking help and advice on how to best leverage the technology, and we’ve created this course with them in mind,” Harbison added.

“Businesses are at different stages of their social media development. Some are at the start, some are well evolved, and a lot of them are still asleep and haven’t even started with social media,” he said.
