‘Trekkies And We Know’ it is a new YouTube video that is both a parody of LMFAO’s ‘Sexy And I Know It’ and the going’s on at Stark Trek fan conventions that is showing signs of going viral pretty quickly.
The video with an undulating dance beat to the regular refrain of ‘Just Beam Me Up Scotty’ features such lyrics as: ‘We may not be sexy, but we have fresh uniforms nonetheless! We Trekkies and We Know It!’
It went live on Tuesday and at the time of writing had attracted over 10,000 views.
It’s as much a homage to as it is a parody of the seriousness that Trekkies – Star Trek fans to the uninitiated – take their annual conventions.
Made by Schrimshank Records the spoof video shows the familiar backdrop of the Starship Enterprise and various State-side conventions.
