Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Doodle from Google includes corgis
Google has unveiled a Doodle for Google’s UK page to mark Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee that includes diamonds and corgis.
The Doodle is a collaboration between the designers Jon Wiley and Micheal Lopez. Valuable feedback was provided by Jamie Divine, Susan Shepard, Margaret Stewart, Michael Leggett, and Nundu Janakiram.
Following the course of the distinctive sash worn by the Queen on ceremonial occasions the Doodle includes Google's lettering on a background studded with diamonds, ending with a silhouette of Elizabeth II.
To the fore are the Queen's pet corgis.
This year Queen Elizabeth II will become only the second queen in English history to celebrate her Diamond Jubilee, or the 60th anniversary of her monarchy.
“Britain will be celebrating with the queen this weekend with a four-day holiday, a pageant on the Thames river, a horse derby - and of course, a Doodle on the Google homepage in England," Google said.
