Google Person Finder now in Filipino after floods

7 Aug 2012

Internet search giant Google has made its person finder service available for those who are looking for or have information on someone following the floods in the Philippines.

The service allows users to both request and post information about the safety of loved ones missing as a result of natural disasters.

The recent flooding in the Philippines has left many people missing or stranded without food or water. More than 50 people have died as a result of flooding across the country, with nine people having died in the capital, Manila, following heavy rains, and another nine people perished in the province of Laguna.

Google’s Person Finder is available in English and Filipino.
