Green Day pig out for new Angry Birds Friends game (video)

21 Aug 2012

Pop-punk band Green Day have been transformed into adversaries of the famous Angry Birds for a new game from the Facebook app.

Angry Birds Friends, the No 1 ranked game on Facebook, now has 10 new Green Day-themed levels with band members Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool featuring as three little (green) pigs.

Players of the new levels will launch their Angry Birds attack on-stage in front of a sold-out crowd, targeting pigs in beanie hats surrounded by their usual haphazard fortresses as well as some amps, guitars and drums for good measure.

Green Day’s latest release, ‘Oh Love’ plays over the game menu, and players are given the opportunity to unlock an exclusive track from the band’s not-yet-released album, ¡Uno!

The new game is only available through Angry Birds Friends on Facebook and not on the mobile apps.
