Interview: Barry O’Neill of StoryToys about its latest digital creation for kids (video)

19 Oct 2012

Gaming industry supremo Barry O’Neill talks about StoryToys, a new app company that combines games and education technology into beautiful products for children.

Founded in 2008 by brothers Aidan and Kevin Doolan, StoryToys has become one of the world’s leading publishers of innovative, entertaining apps for iPads, iPhones and personal computers.

The company invented the “digital pop-up book,” an idea which enthralled audiences around the globe when StoryToys released its first Brothers Grimm fairytale, Rumpelstiltskin, in 2010.

The company’s team includes writers, artists, musicians, programmers and designers working together to create wonderful interactive experiences with simple goals in mind – to make children smile and laugh.

In November, the company, then known as Ideal Binary, raised €750,000 from AIB Seed Capital Fund and €250,000 from Enterprise Ireland.
