Disrupted digital sites coming back online after Superstorm Sandy’s rampage

30 Oct 2012

Some of the New York-based digital sites knocked offline by Superstorm Sandy are beginning to make a return online and The Huffington Post’s sister site in London is back up and running.

At the time of writing, the UK-based version of The Huffington Post is back online and carrying coverage of the violent storm and its aftermath.

The HuffPost’s US website appears to be still offline but redirecting to its UK sister site.

Sites like Gizmodo and Gawker are still offline but have emergency versions of their sites up and running (click here for Gizmodo and here for Gawker) with latest news and reports on the storm.

News site BuzzFeed appears to have been restored but is directing traffic to its Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr accounts for news updates.
