Spotify arrives in Ireland – unlimited music ads-free from less than €5 a month

Spotify has finally arrived in Ireland and is now officially in 16 other countries, including the US, UK, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Spain, Australia and New Zealand.

The popular music-sharing app works across various social media platforms, in particular Facebook, and allows users to share their music tastes with their social networks.

The service includes an Unlimited product that allows users to listen to music on their desktop without ads for €4.99 a month.

The service offers an instant music library of more than 18m tracks.

Spotify originated in Sweden and has set the standard for a new generation of online music services and counts more than 20m monthly users.

In recent months, Siliconrepublic.com reported that the company is mulling an opportunity to locate its international HQ in Dublin.
