Fourteen-year-old app developer Harry Moran, who shot to fame last year as the world’s youngest Mac app developer when his game PizzaBot went to the top of the app charts, is back with a new iOS game called Robot Run! which went into the App Store last night.

Moran, who learned how to code at CoderDojo in Cork within just a few months in 2011, will be demonstrating his latest creation at the BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition in Dublin this week.

The new game Robot Run!, which Moran worked on for the past year, is available on the iOS App Store now for just 89 cents.

Moran came to prominence last year when his first game PizzaBot went on sale on the Mac App Store in November 2011 and quickly surpassed Angry Birds and Call of Duty to make it to the top of the Mac App charts.

The achievement made the then-12-year-old the youngest Mac app developer in the world at the time.

Harry’s latest game is a kind of Blade Runner for the iPhone age

Robot Run! is set in the not-too-distant future and is an epic puzzle that pitches a good robot against a faulty robot hell bent on wreaking havoc on the planet.

The game, ideal for the iPhone 5, comes with a stunning array of weapons, such as unique power-up suits, a missile helmet, a glide suit and a jetpack and you must guide your robot across a number of obstacles to catch up with the evil robot.
