1 Mar 2013

Next weekend, from 8 to 10 March, will be Microsoft’s biggest ever Xbox Live Gold Unlock Weekend, offering free access to the premium service and opening up multiplayer functionality across all Xbox games.

The weekend-long promotion, sponsored by upcoming first-person shooter Bioshock Infinite, also offers gamers the chance to join in a points-boosting Call of Duty double XP weekend or get involved with multiplayer gaming from Halo 4, FIFA Ultimate Team, Forza Horizon, Assassin’s Creed 3, Tomb Raider and more.

On ‘Rockstar Friday’ between 12pm and 5pm, players will be able to take on the developers from Rockstar Games in multiplayer challenges across Grand Theft Auto IV, Max Payne 3, Red Dead Redemption and others.

Users will also be granted premium access to entertainment apps on Xbox Live, such as those from Sky, Netflix and YouTube, as well as Xbox Video.

To access the Xbox Live Gold experience for free next weekend, gamers simply need to visit the Xbox Dashboard and log into Xbox Live.
