What happens on the internet in 60 seconds (infographic)

3 Aug 2013

Did you ever wonder what happens online within 60 seconds? Most likely a minute will have transpired by the time you realise the enormity of the situation and in that time there will have been 41 thousand posts on Facebook for every one of those 60 seconds, believe it or not.

A new infographic by Qmee gives you a sense of just how much is actually happening online in a brief time period. And the scary thing this is likely to increase.

For example within 60 seconds an estimated 72 hours worth of video is uploaded to YouTube and more than 2 million searches are performed on Google.

In terms of social media in just one minute there are 20m photos viewed on Flickr, 278,000 tweets on Twitter, 104,000 photos shared on Snapchat, 347 new blog posts on WordPress and 11,000 professional searches on LinkedIn.
