This week in viral videos, super bad Lord Voldemort gets funky, Fritz the Dog attempts to master the art of catching, and a Riff Raff fan learns what happened when you lay a hand on the rapper.

About 100 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube every minute, Facebook videos receive more than 1bn views per day, and more than 700 YouTube videos are shared on Twitter each minute, ensuring there is always video trending on the web.

With so much video available for viewing, we take a look at some of the viral videos that have caught our eye this week.

Dark Lord Funk

Grown tired of the inexplicably popular Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars collaboration ‘Uptown Funk’? Us too. But this new version offers an evil new slant on the the over-played track.

Featuring vocals by Harry Potter’s arch nemeses Lord Volde.., erm, he-who-must-not-be-named, ‘Dark Lord Funk’ sees the literary villain throwing doing a funk gauntlet.

The lyrics have been suitably rewritten (Sample: “This Wiz, I’m ice cold/Im Voldemort, That white gold”), and there’s a bit of Michael Jackson’s Thriller about the video too.

Fritz learns to catch compilation

Poor Fritz the Dog.

Try as he might to master the art of catching food in his mouth, he just can’t quite pull it off, and that’s with his generous owners throwing a series of delectable treats in his direction, including burritos, tacos, doughnuts and even strawberries.

Will Fritz finally manage to catch one? We couldn’t possibly spoil the surprise…

Riff Raff

Wrestlemania takes place this Sunday, and who better to get us in the mood than Riff Raff and his security team?

When a young fan clambered on stage and tapped the rapper on his shoulder at a recent gig, bodyguard JJ Watt clearly decided there was a threat to his boss’s safety. His response was to completely clean the guy out. An epic take-down.

To compound the domination, Watt then casually tosses the man into the crowd like a rag doll. Below is a nice close shot of the action, but if you can’t get enough, there’s also a fan-recorded clip from the reverse angle.

Every Tom Hanks movie in 7 minutes

British comedian James Corden began his new gig hosting weeknightly US talk programme The Late Late Show this week by recruiting Hollywood A-lister Tom Hanks to star in one of the first skits.

With the help of blue screen and a large selection of props, the pair acted our every Hanks movie in just 7 minutes, starting with Forrest Gump and ending with a rendition of You’ve Got a Friends In Me from Toy Story.

Amusingly, the two-time Oscar winner (thats Hanks, not Corden) seems to struggle with the accents he was able to master on-set. But if there’s one thing to take away from this sketch, it’s that Tom Hanks has been in way more great movies than you even realise.

Ed Sheeran surprises deserving wedding couple

Chucky from the Rugrats lookalike Ed Sheeran took time from his Australian tour recently to make a surprise appearance at a young couples’ wedding reception. The singer and guitarist performed his song ‘Thinking Out Loud’ for their first dance as a married pair.

The performance was organised by two radio DJs who had helped give Kya and Matt Debono the wedding of their dreams. Mum of two Kya had been struggling since the sudden death of her mother in 2012, and the couple were unsure if they would be able to cover the costs of a small wedding with their friends and family.

But after Matt reach out to Kyle & Jackie O of radio station KIIS 1065 via email, the DJs surprised the couple live on air by gifting them with a wedding worth $80,000.

“When Ed heard that we were helping to organise a special wedding for two of our deserving listeners, Matt and Kya, and that they had chosen one of his songs for their wedding dance he offered to come and surprise them and give them a wedding gift they will never forget,” wrote Kyle & Jackie O via YouTube.

“Congratulations to Matt and Kya we hope you both find the happiness you deserve. And Ed Sheeran, well, we just love you!”

He’s left his mark on him here…

When letting your opposite number “know you’re there early” goes too far.

This robustly-built Sunday league footballer must have chewing on red meat sprinkled with hot chilly peppers prior to taking the field. Watch him completely wipe out his opponent with a ‘tackle’ that garners a straight red card from the ref.

Listen out for a fan calling for the first aid kit to be brought on pitch. A bit of the magic spray and we’re sure this lad was fine.

#NASTY: He’s left his mark on him here…

Let him know you’re there early doors Sunday League edition…
