Mobile operator turned fixed-line provider Vodafone has launched a new 24Mbps landline and fixed broadband offer to the residential market – several months after it launched services at the same speed for business.
The company has introduced a new portfolio of bundles offering broadband speeds of up to 24Mbps to residential customers.
Last year, Vodafone made a bold foray into the Irish fixed-line marketplace through a joint venture with BT, which will add 84,000 consumers and 3,000 small businesses to its fixed-line base. The two companies will work together to grow the number of unbundled exchanges now within Vodafone’s remit to 58 exchanges – covering about two-thirds of the Irish fixed-line population.
“These bundles also offer a download allowance of 100Gb to enable customers to make the most of their broadband connection,” the company said.
“We are offering these new bundles at the same price as Eircom’s up to 7Mbps bundles, starting from €62 per month. Current pay monthly customers can also benefit from prices starting at €56 per month. The offer is available nationwide from today,” Vodafone said in a statement.
The new Vodafone at Home offers includes connection, line rental, broadband up to 24Mbps, local and national landline calls and free calls to Vodafone Ireland mobile phones.
