Amado Hidalgo, Kaseya

Kaseya, a global provider of IT automation software, has appointed Amado Hidalgo as technical manager for Ireland. His role is to support Kaseya’s rapid expansion into the Irish market with a key responsibility for attracting managed service providers. Hidalgo recently held the position of senior security response manager at Symantec Corp and brings his extensive knowledge of the security industry to his role at Kaseya. Prior to Symantec, Hidalgo co-founded and acted as technical director in Ireland's only Kaspersky Anti-Virus distributor. Before that, he was technical manager for the main distributor of McAfee Anti-Virus in Ireland. In the past, Hidalgo has managed the EMEA technical support team for a US firewall vendor on a follow-the-sun basis. He has also worked on pre/post-sales support roles, as well as in technical training positions. He is experienced in network and email security, firewalls, VPN, security policies and defense-in-depth. Hidalgo holds a BSc in Telecommunication Engineering and a MSc in Security & Computer Forensics.
